We used Locke and Ladder to install a new exhaust fan on our roof and address some other problem areas. They did a thorough inspection both externally and from within the attic, taking pictures so that we could fully understand everything that needed to be fixed. I never felt like they were trying to oversell us on repairs.
We had such a good experience with them that we chose to use the company to replace the siding on our house. Jon worked with us to select colors and siding styles, to ensure that we would be happy with the final look of the house. I appreciated that Jon spoke to me, and didn’t direct answers and questions just to my husband. As a part of the job, the team removed the old siding, installed new siding, and then put on the new siding. Thanks to the new insulation, we haven’t needed to run the air conditioning as much and the hottest bedroom in the house has stayed cooler. The house also looks a lot nicer. We have had several neighbors stop us to compliment us on the new appearance of the house.

HIGHLY recommend Locke and Ladder! We had damage to our roof and part of our soffits/gutters from a storm this summer and once insurance approved a new roof Locke and Ladder was there every step of the way! Their response time, communication and attention to detail were far superior to other contractors we reached out to for quotes. Jonathan took the time to go line by line over our insurance estimate and explain what was going to be covered and why. Once inspected, he informed us that he felt insurance should be covering more to bring our home up to code and worked directly with THREE different insurance adjusters to make sure it happened. He was always accessible for any questions that came up and kept us informed throughout the entire process…from insurance estimate to picking out materials to materials delivery and then all the way through install. His installation crew was polite and tidy and worked hard to get the job done. Any hiccups were addressed immediately. Jonathan came back after install to ensure all nails were picked up and the job was done to company standards.
Overall, Jonathan helped us get a complete new roof (including several new decking boards), gutters, soffits and painted fascia board fully paid for by insurance and effectively having us spend less out of pocket than our deductible. If you are looking for an honest, local, affordable contractor for roofing/gutters (especially if insurance is involved) look no further than Locke and Ladder!
