Mansard roofs, popularized by François Mansart in the 17th century are characterized by steep sides and a double pitch. Proper installation of this style roof is CRITICAL - the shingles on the steep slope must be hand sealed and precision nailed to prevent failure/falling shingles. Our use of polymer modified @malarkeyroofingproducts ensures this roof will look brand new and perform for decades. True story: The homeowner asked if there was something else he should be spending his money on…we told him maybe a motorcycle 🏍️🤷 but that synthetic slate is one of the rare roof systems where every time you pull into your driveway, you will look at your roof and enjoy it. It’s very special.
