More than shielding from weather
Building envelopes have become tighter and less permeable, which means applying a proper siding system is vital for ensuring your home is both protected and venting properly.
Strip and Trim
Starter strip is the first part attached at the bottom of the structure, or the start of the siding components. Siding trims come in both inner and outer trims, serving different purposes. They hold placement and provide the give needed for the expanding and contracting that occurs throughout weather cycles.
Backboards
These are attached to the studs and are facing the exterior of the structure and used to attach both siding and trim securely.
Furring Strip
A small component that aligns the siding and the exterior of the structure. This is used to help aid alignment and install siding horizontally.
J-Channels
This multipurposed component is used to finish the appearance, and secure the end cuts and intersections of doors and windows.
