The verified roof system
The main roof uses Brava Multi-Width Slate in Light Arendale with matching slate and hip-and-ridge components for its changing slopes. Grace ice-and-water membrane protects the eaves, roof-wall unions, penetrations, valleys, and low-slope transitions, while a permeable synthetic underlayment covers the primary roof deck.
The copper and low-slope scope
- Copper W-valleys installed with copper fasteners and ice-and-water membrane below and across both valley edges.
- Copper counterflashing where the roof meets masonry, plus copper step-and-counter flashing at the chimneys.
- New half-round copper gutters, round copper downspouts, and copper gutter apron.
- A base-and-cap modified-bitumen assembly where the roof pitch was too low for the slate system.
What the record proves
The completed photos show the Light Arendale slate profile across the street, aerial, dormer, and chimney views. The copper package is visible at the eaves, downspouts, valleys, and masonry transitions. Client identity, street address, and private financial information are intentionally omitted.
