The decision

The home needed the depth of cedar, but the homeowner did not want another real-cedar maintenance cycle. Brava composite cedar in Aspen kept the cedar profile while changing the upkeep decision.

The standing-seam back porch made the material decision more exacting. From the rear elevation, the porch metal had to align with the composite-cedar field at the eaves, rakes, and roofline instead of reading like a separate add-on.
